NFC (Near Field Communication)
 
NFC is a contact less 13.56MHz technology which is backward compatible with existing ISO 14443 card and reader infrastructure. NFC was invented 2002 by NXP and Sony. It is standardized in ISO 18092 (NFC – IP1) and ISO 21481 (NFC –IP2).

NFC IP1 includes: Felica (Sony), Mifare 14443 A

NFC IP2 includes: NFC IP1, Mifare 14443 B, 15693


Secure Architecture in Mobile Devices
NFC as :
- Secure element embedded in the phone
- SD or MMC card hosting the application
- SIM centric solution
